LOVE & PASSION

Hi! I'm Annemieke Balhuizen, or Miek for short. I've been drawing ever since I can remember! I was busy with it every single day. I was the girl with a super thick planner because I was always drawing in it and pasting everything down. And I won't even mention my notebooks...

The EchtMiek label actually came about somewhat spontaneously. It emerged from illustrations and projects I create with a great deal of love and passion. Inspired by vintage, retro, flowers, patterns, animals (especially my dachshund Polle), and a wealth of imagination, I create primarily feminine and colorful illustrations. I use them digitally, but also with pen, paint, chalk, and paper.
